WHO Yard Guard

Dateline June 2nd - somewhere over the India Pakistan border.

Something good actually happened on this trip. When making my connection in London I got bumped to Club World Class. This enabled access to the Club Lounge and a much needed shower. I have never slept horizontal on an airplane before. This is the first time I've felt like a higher order mamal upon arrival.

The usual immigration paperwork has been augmented by a H1N1 proforma declaration questionnaire to ferret out if I have swine flu. The most commical occurrance was the procession of flight crew walking down both asiles with a can of what can only be described as lemon pledge flavor yard guard spewing a virus squelching fog out of each hand. Now I feel much safer!

Inserted into the customs clearing in process are three wooden desks with Doctors who scribble on the influenza proforma and a nurse stamps them. It is absolute human chaos around the desks as there is no line just whoever pushes to the front and gets their paperwork on top...

More fun later...
